The Fresenius products GranuFlo and NaturaLyte have been implicated in a national epidemic of deaths of dialysis patients.  In June of 2012, the Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) announced a Class I Recall of GranuFlo and NaturaLyte.  According to the FDA, these Fresenius products result in a dangerous increase in bicarbonate levels, ultimately causing cardiac arrest and/or death.
