Tunica County: Airport
Smith Phillips represented owners of eight different parcels of property acquired by Tunica County and the town of Tunica, Mississippi, for expansion of the municipal airport needed primarily to serve the casino industry there. A total of 519.4 acres was taken by Tunica in the eight cases. Three of the cases went to trial resulting in favorable verdicts for the property owners and the remaining five cases were settled.
