Joseph D. Neyman, Jr.
Joseph D. "Jody" Neyman, Jr., is a graduate of the University of Mississippi
(B.P.A., cum laude, 1993; J.D. 1996) and is licensed to practice in
Mississippi and Tennessee. In addition to his general litigation practice
Jody also serves as legal counsel for DeSoto County, Mississippi. In this
capacity he provides legal representation to the DeSoto County Board of
Supervisors, DeSoto County Sheriff's Department, the DeSoto County Planning
Commission and Board of Adjustments. Jody also represents the Mississippi
Public Entity Worker's Compensation Trust, the Horn Lake Creek Drainage
District and the Palmer Home for Children. In addition to his law practice,
Jody presides as the Judge Pro Tempore for the Municipal Court for the City
of Hernando. A member of Independent Presbyterian in Memphis, Tennessee,
Jody resides in Hernando with his wife, the former Mary Phillips Johnson of
Jackson, Mississippi, and their daughter. Jody is a past President of the
Hernando Optimist Club, currently serves as President of the Hernando
Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and is a member of the University of
Mississippi Alumni Association.
